Daniel M. Russell’s SearchReSearch blog has frequent posts challenging its readers to do internet research — research that will take more than a simple Google. (Though, interestingly, the author works for Google). For instance, a recent search challenged readers to find a specific monument given only the shape of the island it sits on in Washington, D.C.
Though it’s geared at times well below college level, this would be a fun site to use in a computer classroom; it might also work as assigned extra-credit homework as an introduction to basic web research.
