A Web site has students contribute answers of their own in order to earn points toward getting the answers submitted by others for many popular textbooks. Mind/Shift says this is “not as straightforward a transaction as it looks.”

I say yeah, it is, in the same way that trading test answers with a friend is still cheating. Making students do some kind of work in order to be given the right answer is an interesting idea, but it’s still a transaction which leads to students not doing their own work and taking credit for the work of others.
